Tell us about your shop or service: Just Cuts is a lovely kiosk, specialising in style cuts.
What’s really popular with customers right now? The wolfcut and mullet are most popular in store at present.
Do you have a favourite thing in store at the moment? I would have to say my most popular thing in store is our new self check in. It helps prevent leaving our clients to attend reception all the time.
How long have you been working here? I’ve been working at Just Cuts for approximately 8 years on and off. As of 1 August 2023, I am now the proud new owner of Just Cuts.
How big is your store team? I currently have 5 hair stylists working for me.
What’s the best part of your job? The best part of my job would have to be knowing that I make people feel good when they leave.
What are your interests in life? Do you have any hobbies? I actually don’t have a hobbie but my life revolves around my four (4) beautiful grandchildren.
Do you think your shop or service helps make customers’ lives easier? If so, tell us how: Yes, I do feel my shop makes customers’ lives easier, especially with our ‘no appointment necessary, just come in’ service.
Do you have regular customers you know by name or like to have a chat with? Yes, we have a lot of beautiful regular customers that call past to have a chat on their way to the shops.
What’s the funniest or most unusual request you’ve ever had from a customer? I would have to say when a young customer pulled out a picture of Lisa Simpson and asked for her hairstyle and a lady once asked me to be careful not to get hair on her skin because she was allergic.
What do you think makes Richmond Marketplace a great community and a good place to shop? Being a local girl my whole life, I like to shop local and our Marketplace is a friendly based community. It’s like a social outing while you are shopping. There’s free parking and we have great specialty shops.
Do you have a favourite time of year in Centre and if so, why? My favourite time of the year is Easter and Christmas. It’s magical and to see the excitement on children’s faces is pure joy.
